When they walked up to the table, Kim thought they were regular fans and started signing books for them. "I just want to say you're the most disturbing human being on the planet," one of the protesters said. Kim stayed calm and just shot a quick look to her security guard.
The battle to get Kim to stop wearing fur is unfortunately not new. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was flour-bombed by an animal rights activist on the red carpet back in 2012.
This time, there was no flour thrown, but there were a lot of strong words, including what goes into making fur coats, which is disturbing, to say the least.
"Can you make [the autograph] out to all the animals that have been tortured and killed for you to wear a fur coat?" one protester yelled. "Kim, do you know how many animals are tortured and killed for your jackets?" another asked, with the sad answer being provided by another protester - 50.
While Kim is obviously not budging on her fur-wearing stance, there is one Kardashian who is strongly against wearing fur, Khloe. In fact, she posed naked for a PETA billboard back in 2008 that said "Fur? I'd rather go naked," but she cut her ties with the organization after she found out that Kim's flour-bomber had close ties to the organization.
"Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior," she said in a statement. "I've been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me."
Still, Khloe has strong feelings about wearing fur and wore this enormous faux fur jacket in NYC last year, which pretty much spoke for itself.
