During Kim Kardashian's book signing in New York City last night, reporters obviously wanted to talk about her book, but they also had a lot of questions about the recently announced upcoming Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce special.
"It was important for him to capture these moments so that people can understand," she told E! News at the event. "First of all, our special is more about our emotions and you see Bruce telling some of us for the first time and every family member has a different reaction."
During the Diane Sawyer special where Bruce made his big announcement, the former Olympian explained that Kim has been the most accepting and easiest to talk to during this process. After hubby Kanye West opened her eyes and said he could have all of the greatest things in life [and he does], but said, "I'm nothing if I can't be me...if I can't be true to myself they don't mean anything." Ever since then, Kim has been super supportive.
"You know, I think that everyone handles it differently, and just because I am super-supportive doesn't mean that I haven't felt every emotion possible like all my sisters," she said in a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight. "Our goal in sharing this is just to help other families going through with this. It's not an easy transition, but we are so happy that he can live his life the way he wants to."
Kim is being so supportive that she says she's trying to hook him up with designers and told Extra that she even offered to help him find a glam team. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the reality star said she told him that her personal glam squad was off-limits, but it sounds like she's softening on that, saying that he could borrow them for a night. "If you're gonna do this, you've gotta do it right," she said. "You have to look amazing, and I'll help you."
Editor's Note: Per Jenner's stated preference, Cambio will continue to refer to Bruce using male pronouns until he indicates otherwise.
