More sad news for Sam Smith: he has to cancel more scheduled tour stops due his vocal cord hemorrhage. The "Stay With Me" singer first announced he had to postpone his Australia shows due to his vocal injury, and now he's being forced to pull the plug on shows in Japan and the Philippines.

The Grammy winner announced the news that he's flying back to LA to seek treatment instead of performing as planned on Instagram. "Very upset about Japan and Manila dates," he posted. "I've just left Australia and I'm on my way to the States to see a specialist to see what to do from there...this is f**king horrid."

This is especially disappointing as Sam said he was on vocal rest and hoping to be well enough to perform again just last week. "I haven't spoken a word in three days," he wrote last Friday. "Trying my absolute to be back on my feet and singing for next week."

We hope Sam is able to get the treatment he needs and wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.
