Things got pretty heated yesterday between Louis Tomlinson, Naughty Boy and Zayn Malik, as a Twitter feud erupted and quickly had fans choosing sides.

Well, now that the dust has settled a little bit, Zayn has fired off a new tweet explaining why he called Louis "bitchy" – he had to defend himself, after all.

Zayn tweeted this morning "Don't know why I'm being attacked for defending myself , people got it twisted! I love my fans ?! Every single one of you x."

Is it enough though? He didn't apologize to the fans who are now doubting him and there was no apology for what he said to Louis either, but he did explain what he was feeling. No easy answers here.

Louis had a little something more to say too – to the fans. He didn't apologize for slamming Naughty Boy and didn't address Zayn's comment to him, but did tweet: "Our fans support really has been a different class ! Huge love to you guys!!"

The fight all started yesterday when Naughty Boy posted a photo of himself with Zayn and the caption "Replace this." Louis fired back and a number of flaming tweets flew. It was Zayn's shocking tweet to Louis though that really had fans worried that he had abandoned the brotherhood of his former band to side with his producer pal. Zayn tweeted: "@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?"
