The group covered her in a vat full of cake and icing while she was still dressed up in her glam purple dress from that shooting day. "On my last day...I got caked. #TVDTBT #TVDFamily," Nina captioned a shot, which showed them clapping and snapping pics around her after they threw the cake on her.
"And I liked it. #TVDTBT #TVDFamily," she continued. "6 years of pranks... It was bound to bite me (No pun intended) in the ass eventually. #caked #lastday #finalscene #TVDTBT," captioning an Instavideo of herself getting slammed with the cake. She posted a couple more shots and videos from the day, including another one of her standing with her hands on her hips, again, covered in cake.
"I just got "Carrie-d". And I couldn't have asked for a better way to go," she wrote alongside the snap. Before the day was done, she couldn't help but pull one last prank on her ex-boyfriend and co-star Ian Somerhalder, pushing a big chunk of cake in his face.
"But I didn't go out without putting up a fight....If I was gonna go down, I wasnt going to go down alone. @iansomerhalder #caked #TVDTBT," she captioned a collage which showed the duo getting silly with the sweet treat, and Nina shoving the cake in his face.
Speaking of these two, Nina recently shut down rumors that she left the hit CW show because of Ian's marriage to Nikki Reed, telling E! News, "I've said this before, that we didn't break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship."
"I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him, and that didn't change," she continued. "Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now."
