Modern Family Star Ariel Winter Reveals Plans to Go to Law School

Talk about ambition!

As if being on an Emmy-winning TV series isn't enough to have accomplished by the age of 17, Ariel Winter has decided that she's now going to tackle law school, too! Clearly, the super smart character she plays on Modern Family isn't too far off from her real life.

During an interview with E! News, the recently emancipated starlet (who graduates high school next year) told them that she's already started scouting potential schools and that she wants to study business and law.

"I toured around schools in California and I'm going to take a tour of East Coast schools," she told them. "I would love to continue acting but it's definitely important, I think, to go and do something else as well," she explained.

"You never know if something's not going to work out, if one day acting is like, 'No, we don't like you anymore!' You gotta have something else you can do," she continued. "I've always been interested in law so I think it'll definitely be something that I'll love to do and also go to school for."

We can't imagine anyone saying that, but huge props to her for having a backup plan and for setting her sights so high. Go get 'em, girl!
