Evette Reay's last day of high school definitely didn't end on a high note. The West Side High School senior went shopping for a special dress for her final day of school, but she ended up with a suspension.

"I wanted to feel good about myself," she explains to ABC 8 of her green dress. "I was fixing to be a woman in this world that was conquering anything." But when a teacher said her dress was too short and told her to go home and change, she refused and instead called her mom to bring her new clothes. He then reportedly threatened to hold her diploma.

By the time her mom arrived with a new outfit, Evette had been suspended for insubordination. The school's principal claimed she was rude to the teacher and "got in his face". First of all, her dress isn't revealing and considering the fact that she had an alternate change of clothes coming, the suspension seems pretty ridiculous.

We're so glad summer is almost here so we can stop hearing about crazy dress code violations.
