Did Little Mix throw shade at Britney Spears when they said they passed on the song "Pretty Girls" for their new album? Though Little Mix did admit to recording a whole album and then scrapping it (including "Pretty Girls" because, they admit, "we knew we could do better"), it sounds like the song just wasn't a fit for them. So off to Brit and Iggy Azalea it went.
The Little Mix ladies wrote "Pretty Girls" for their new album and just didn't think it was "good enough," Jesy Nelson told The Sun: "We've been away a while because we wrote an album, sat with the record label and we thought, 'Nope, it's not good enough'."
She added, "We recorded a whole album but we're perfectionists and knew we could do better. So we scrapped it and started again."
Jade Thirlwall explained, "We wrote it with Maegan Cottone, who we've written a lot of this album with. We loved the song but it wasn't really for us so we put it out there and, lo and behold, Britney wanted it."
Perrie Edwards did tell The Sun one of their album collaborations is pretty exciting: "I think the Jessie J collaboration is a song the fans will like."
