Talk about flying the unfriendly skies! Sarah Blackwood, a pregnant singer for Walk Off the Earth, was on a United flight from San Francisco to Vancouver with her young son when he began crying before takeoff, as babies often do.

Flight attendants reportedly warned her to control her 23-month-old son as they taxied down the runway when the pilot suddenly announced they were turning around to refuel. By the time they were back at the gate, her son was asleep but she was still forced to get off the plane.

"He's just a 2-year-old crying on an airplane and squirming a little bit. I was shocked and so were the people around me," she explains to ABC News. Sarah Tweeted her outrage about the incident, which quickly went viral. The United flight was being operated by partner airline SkyWest who issued this statement: "Despite numerous requests, the child was not seated, as required by federal regulation to ensure passenger safety, and was repeatedly in the aisle of the aircraft before departure and during taxi."

Sarah denies her son was in the aisle and says she was holding him. United recently came under fire for booting an autistic passenger from a flight.
