We never thought we'd hear Taylor Swift's song like this. New Jersey punk band Screaming Females might not look like they'd cover a T-Swift tune, but the trio did it anyway, and it turned out to be pretty freakin' awesome.

The A.V. Club invited the band to cover Tay's kickass anthem "Shake It Off" as part of one of its undercover series. While we prefer Tay Tay's rendition to theirs, we think they did a pretty awesome job.

Lead singer Marissa Paternoster definitely switches her voice up from Taylor's poppy sound. She also replaces the "My ex-man..." chant with a guitar solo. How cool is that?
