Kit Harington Is Into Smart Women
A little background: I'm really into Greek mythology. I have been since my brother took a class on it in high school, so when my previous boyfriend suggested that we watch Pompeii on our third date, I jumped at the chance! Pompeii is the true story of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius with a mythological twist. Vesuvius is big in the Greek world, so screenwriters were kind enough to bring in all 12 of the major gods and goddesses. Kit's character, Milo, is a slave who ends up being forced to fight as a gladiator, and throughout the film, he fights to save his true love. It was the perfect setting for my first kiss with the guy I was seeing.
Staying true to my love of Greek myths, I asked Kit who his favorite major Greek goddess is. Gods of Greek mythology are so powerful, but the women are too, so I don't think they should be overlooked. Plus, the idea of hooking up with a Greek goddess could've been romantic to Kit, right?
He shouted out "Athena!" before Kathryn could even list all of the goddesses, which is pretty cool because Athena is my best friend's favorite, and I somehow knew she would be Kit's, too. When Kathryn followed up as to why, he couldn't remember what power she held! He was told that Athena was the goddess of wisdom, and replied, "There you go."
The moderator then implied that Kit must like smart women (isn't it awesome that I'm a smart woman?). My favorite part was at the end when Kit said, "Aphrodite. Aphrodite. Is she love? That's good, too."
Kit is just so cute, and I may never be over this!
