Willow Smith is adding model to her repertoire.
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's 14-year-old daughter is one of the faces of Marc Jacobs' newest campaign, with the famed designer gushing over the singer when he announced the news on Instagram Thursday.
"Ever since our first Juergen Teller ad in 1998 which featured Kim Gordon on stage wearing my dress, I have always preferred collaborating with the people who inspire me to give new life to the clothes we show on our runway," Marc captioned a shot of Willow sitting on a stool in a black lace dress and a jacquard coatdress.
As Marc mentioned in his caption, Willow joins a list of stars including, Victoria Beckham, Sofia Coppola, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning, and more who have modeled for the label in the past. "Beauty, style and talent know no age," he continued. "It is those individuals whose creativity, unique vision, and voice inspire all of us here to create and express ourselves through our medium: fashion."
"Photographed by David Sims, this season's ads feature friends, each of whom evoke a sense of intrigue and inspiration and collectively provoke a true consideration for individuality," he went on. "Here today I would like to share (not CHER) with you first, the talented, stylish and charming Willow Smith @gweelos. Stay tuned over the coming weeks for more..."
Speaking of Cher, the legendary singer is the new spokesperson for Marc Jacobs. Considering she and Willow are already a part of the campaign, we can't wait to see who else Marc has in store for what is sure to be an epic 2015 Fall/Winter campaign.
As far as Willow's own sense of fashion, she recently described her style to Billboard as "high fashion nomad," adding, "I could literally climb a mountain and survive a couple nights in nature. That's a requirement for my clothes because one day I was on the freeway and I saw a mountain, so I literally just pulled over and climbed it. If you're an artist, the way you dress also gives people a vibe of how your music is and your personality."
