Prince William and Princess Kate released the first official photos of their daughter Princess Charlotte Saturday evening, which showed her big brother Prince George holding her as they posed for pics on a plush sofa.
In the adorable photos, the 22-month-old toddler cuddles Charlotte, smiles wide and even gives her a kiss. Meanwhile, the 5-week-old lounges peacefully in a white knit onesie, looking comfy in her brother's arms.
The photos were taken inside of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's country home, Anmer Hall, during "private family time," according to People. The mag also reported that William and Kate honored their promise to the media and fans to issue a photograph of Charlotte before her July 5 christening.
The royal couple welcomed their baby girl May 2 at St. Mary's Hospital. After introducing her to the world on the steps of the hospital later that day, Prince William and Princess Kate revealed their daughter's full name – Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. The precious little one was named in honor of Prince William and Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana, who did tragically in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
Her name also honors William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, as well as Kate and her mother Carole, who share the same middle name: Charlotte.
