There have been rumors about how the Kardashian matriarch is handling Cait's transformation and the current status of their friendship, and Kris herself took to Twitter to defend her position when celebrity blogger Perez Hilton tried to call her out after the Diane Sawyer interview.
Perez said that Cait's other two ex-wives gave supportive statements and called Kris out for supposedly having "no comment," and then said he thought she was negotiating her own tell-all for the highest bidder. Kris fired back with these two tweets:
And, from what Cait just tweeted, it sounds like despite what the rumor mill might be churning out, there is no bad blood between her and beyond that, she's very grateful for the time they spent married to each other.
While Kris may not have commented on the Diane Sawyer interview, she did share her feelings in the Vanity Fair interview, which helped everyone understand why she was shocked by Cait's transformation.
Reading the VF article reminded me of the love & good times Kris & I shared for so many years. Wouldn't trade that time for anything!— Caitlyn Jenner (@Caitlyn_Jenner) June 12, 2015
"When I met Bruce, he told me that he had done hormones back in the early '80s. This was a conversation that took place in the early '90s," she told them. "So, what he was telling me happened a decade earlier, and he never really explained it...Nobody mentioned a gender issue."
For her part, Caitlyn acknowledged that maybe she didn't really lay it all out there in a way that was clear for Kris. "Probably a mistake I made was maybe not having her understand," she revealed. "Not the severity of it but that this is a condition you cannot get away from. From that standpoint, maybe I blew it away a little bit, sort of 'This is what I do.'"
Regardless, we're so glad to hear that they're on good terms and we think what Cait just tweeted about Kris is very telling about the love they shared for each other, and it seems, still share as friends and parents to the two amazing children they have together.
