So, now that the 18-year-old starlet has graduated from high school, is she going straight to college and leaving Hollywood behind? Not just yet.
It's "going to happen," she told Access Hollywood. "I definitely want to go to college, [but] "I think I'd rather wait, because careers go any kind of way. So, I'd rather keep going while I can and hopefully make enough money to buy the college I want to go to," she said with a laugh. *snaps*
In all seriousness, education is very important to the "Replay" crooner, whose parents are both teachers. "Honestly, I just want to be able to go to school because I want to learn," she continued. "This is something I'm passionate about and probably has nothing to do with the arts at all -- just something different because I really want to get that knowledge."
"Again," she added with a smile, "[I have] two teacher parents. It's definitely gonna happen, just not this very second." Zendaya's reasons for pushing back college became even more understandable after she opened up about how challenging it was for her to balance her acting/singing career with high school.
"I've been working so hard at school and, literally, for the past however many years that I've been doing this business and school at the same time, it is so hard," she said. "Thankfully, I have teacher parents and an amazing set teacher and an amazing teacher at my school, and collectively they all kept motivating me and pushing me."
It's no secret Zendaya is a total go-getter. We have no doubt she'll go to college when she's ready, and when she does, she's going to rock it. In the meantime, we can't wait to see what's in store for her career in the future.
