This is heartbreaking.

Just days after one of Lamar Odom's best friends, Jamie Sangouthi, passed away from complications from longtime drug use, another one of the former NBA player's close friends has died.

Producer and writer Bobby Heyward passed away Saturday at the age of 30 from a drug overdose, according to Us Weekly. Before he died, he paid tribute to Jamie on Instagram, posting a throwback shot of himself, Jamie and Lamar hanging out with another friend in Las Vegas. "#RIP To my big brother Jamie who always brought light into any room he walked into and laughter as well at all times J you will always be missed. Family for life. #BandOfBrothers #tbt," he captioned it.

According to E! Online, 37-year-old Jamie died from a bacterial skin infection in his arm called necrotizing fasciitis, as a result of chronic IV drug abuse. He passed away in a Los Angeles hospital June 14 after going to get treatment for his arm.

"Due to the extent of the infection, the hospital performed surgery to deal with the infection, but the condition quickly overwhelmed what they were able to do for him," the coroner later told E! News. Jamie and Lamar had been close friends since high school, and he often appeared on E! reality show Khloé & Lamar.
