1. For the Fashionista: Nasty Gal
If you're looking to channel your inner fashionista, this is the site for you. NastyGal.com sends daily new arrivals, what they call, "#FIRSTLIKES," of unique, trend-setting threads that range from super cheap to OMG-are-you-serious-I'm-living-on-a-budget. What's awesome about this subscription is that the fashion just doesn't just stick to one style - because let's be honest, neither do we. Some days we feel like going Vanessa Hudgens boho, and other days we want street-chic like Taylor. Either way, count on this subscription to spice up your wardrobe with fresh new looks.
2. For the Girl In The Know: TheSkimm
Talk about fierce women! These two twentysomething besties, Carly Zakin and Danielle Weisberg, wanted to be in the know with the news of the world, but they didn't want to have to reference a thesaurus every five words to do so (we're looking at you, New York Times.) Targeted to girls like us, TheSkimm provides witty, condensed quick hits of global news: politics, pop culture, you name it. They're basically the female versions of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert – but better. Oh yeah, and Oprah Winfrey is obsessed – along with 1.5 million other subscribers.
3. For the World Traveler: Fodor's Travel
We all want to be like Shay Mitchell and take "Shaycations" around the world, but where do you even start? That's where Fodor's Travel comes in. With daily top 10 lists, you can plan your next getaway anywhere in the world. If you're not sure where your next adventure is, they have lists based on weekend getaways, must-see destinations and vacations based on your geo. If you're stuck in classes all semester dreaming about why you didn't spend that summer in Rome, this site will help fix your travel bug until your bags are packed.
4. For the Music Diva: Spotify
Yes, there's an app for this. But when you want to find new music, Spotify gets confusing. The Browse feature could be better within the app, but Spotify makes up for it with their emails. Including highlighting an artist for the week, Spotify provides a quick snapshot of newly released music, playlists and what's trending. Rock on!
5. For the Wannabe Chef: Yummly
With daily or weekly emails of easy recipes for entertaining, Yummly takes the cake! (Yes, I realize how horrible that pun is.) Emails are customized based on a flavor profile you create, and almost all of the recipes are easier than ever to make. If you had told me before I found Yummly that I could make a cucumber dill salad infused with ginger and garnished with feta in under 10 minutes, I would have called you crazy. P.S., it was delicious.
