Grab your tissues...this is like Fault in Our Stars and A Walk to Remember all rolled up into one.

Amie Cresswell and Omar Al Shaikh met eight months ago, when he was in remission for acute myeloid leukemia. They both were students at Four Dwellings Academy in Birmingham, England, and they started dating and fell in love, according to Metro UK.

But, as time passed, the 16-year-old was hit with horrible news: his leukemia was back and he was too ill for a stem cell transplant to help him recover.

More than likely, doctors said, he would have less than a week to live. "When he was told it had come back it was just a massive shock," Amie told the mag. "I knew I wanted to stand by him through it all."

So, she decided to do something epic. Knowing that he had always wanted to marry his high school sweetheart, she proposed to him using a flower as a ring, and they said "I do" in the hospital in front of family and friends. Three days later, Omar passed away Monday holding Amie's hand.

"I'm absolutely heartbroken," Amie said yesterday. "We had talked about getting married but never imagined we would be 16. We thought we would grow old together. The
ceremony was so sad, but really lovely."

"As he put the ring on my finger he said he wished he had more time with me," she continued "I wish we had too, but I'm so glad we had the chance to make this happy memory." Completely heartbreaking.

Can you believe this girl is only 16? What a touching sendoff for her beloved husband. We're in awe of her strength.
