Giuliana Rancic is officially stepping down from her anchor position at E! News. "For more than a decade, I was fortunate enough to play a role in the success of E! News and will miss my family at the show," she said in a statement, according to Deadline. "At the same time ... this is such a thrilling time for me, and I thank the gang at E! for understanding my desire to embark on this next chapter in my life."
Following the drama that ensued after she infamously dissed Zendaya during the Fashion Police Oscars recap in February, the 40-year-old TV personality has battled controversy for months, with cohosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin both leaving the show because of her comments. Giuliana has been noticeably less visible on E! News since that incident went down.
E! general manager Adam Stotsky also released a statement about Giuliana's exit, saying, "During her time here, Giuliana played an instrumental role in building E! News into a global entertainment news powerhouse and... we will miss seeing her on set every day."
We're going to miss seeing her too. Say what you will about the whole Zendaya incident, but, Giuliana has been a trailblazer in entertainment news and helped make E! News what it is today. This isn't a goodbye for good, though. The Going Off Script author will still continue as a co-host on Fashion Police and E!'s Live From the Red Carpet.
Aside from her gigs at E!, Giuliana will be keeping busy with her many business ventures, including her own wine line XO, G, her latest book Going Off Script and clothing line G by Giuliana Rancic.
She also had already made plans to leave Los Angeles – where E! News is based – telling ABC News in April that she would be moving from L.A. to Chicago this summer to be with her family full time.
