Yup, he sure did.

Not too long after jokingly counting out Diddy's bail money, 50 Cent might need a little extra cash himself. The rapper filed for bankruptcy protection Monday after a jury ordered him to pay $5 million in an invasion of privacy lawsuit, according to ABC News.

As for that lawsuit, Rick Ross's baby mama, Lastonia Leviston, claims 50 acquired a sex tape she made with her boyfriend (not Rick), posted it online without her consent, and added himself in the mix as a "crude commentator."

Considering the empire 50's been building (and flaunting), this was pretty shocking news. Aside from making major bank from his past investment in Vitamin Water, 50 has his own liquor label, Effen Vodka, he's the executive producer of the hit Starz show "Power," has his own G Unit clothing line, headphones line and much more. He was also dubbed one of hip hop's wealthiest artists for 2015. Perhaps this is just a power move to keep Lastonia from getting that $5 million?

In spite of that drama though, 50 hasn't let that stop him from partying. In an Instagram photo, club hostesses could be seen bringing a ton of Effen bottles to his table to celebrate his 40th birthday. "Last night to much EFFEN VODKA lol #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO," he captioned the shot.

And he's not done. After turning the big 4-0 July 6, he'll ring it again with a big bash in Hollywood July 13. Before he parties up there though, 50 couldn't resist cracking one joke about himself after news of his bankruptcy hit.

In another shot on Instagram, he can be seen standing in front of a Smartcar in a suit. "Times are hard out here LMAO #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO." Too silly.
