Few looks are as imitated by fashionistas as the elusive "French girl style." You know it when you see it - the simple look of a slouchy striped tee, worn-in jeans, maybe a leather jacket thrown casually over the shoulders - the perfect "stylish-but-not-really-trying" look. Luckily, dressing like a French girl is about to get way easier.
ICYMI, last fall, the cool-girl favorite store Madewell teamed up with the French brand Sezane for a collaboration that absolutely killed it when it came to getting that Parisian girl look. (Who could forget those "La Superbe" sweatshirts that sold out in practically five seconds?) If you missed round one, you're in luck. The brands are partnering up again for a second collection, which releases today. (Coincidence that it's the day after Bastille Day? We think not!)
This time around, however, the collab will celebrate two super fashionable cities: Paris and New York. The 18-piece collection has the best of both worlds, including New Yorker essentials like slip-on sneakers and a leather skirt, and French girl-esque picks like a sharp striped dress and a simple, goes-with-everything leather tote.
Our favorite pieces? Adorable striped graphic tees - a red one reading "Paris, Mon Amour," and a matching blue one printed with, "New York My Love." The real struggle will be trying to decide which we want more! Tres chic!
