Ryan Reynolds – who keeps cracking us up with his baby stories – said his daughter's first few words might be something way more explicit than 'mama' or 'dadda.' Quite frankly, she could go from cooing to spitting out a bunch of curse words, if she was paying attention while hanging out on the Deadpool set.
When E! News' Marc Malkin asked Ryan if he felt bad about all the cursing going on while James was there, he said, "She's going to learn those words eventually anyway. If her first word is f**k, then I've done something wrong, but otherwise I think we're fine. I think we're OK." Fingers crossed (especially after that baby carrier drama).
"The second or third [word], that's fine," he continued. "But the first? No. It's going to have to be mom or dad. I'm rooting for mom." He's going to get major points from wife Blake Lively for that last part.
Which is a good thing, considering back in April the Age of Adaline star told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show they had a serious competition going on when it came to whether James would say 'mama or dada' first.
"We're total rivals, by the way," she joked. "I hear him like 'da-da, da-da' all the time and then I walk in the room and he's like, 'ma-ma.' And I'm like, 'How dare you do that?' But all day! The word 'da-da' is banned in our house. You have to say ma-ma all day. And I'm like, 'How can you do that?' I'll take videos where I'm saying 'da-da,' but I don't say it ever...She has to say mama first! I do everything! He does nothing!"
Hopefully, Blake will get her wish.
