As sad as Khlomar fans are, one thing nobody could ever say is that Khloe didn't try hard enough. Khloe admitted on Kourtney And Khloe Take The Hamptons that if it were up to her, she would still be married to Lamar and she later said pretty much the same thing during an interview with E! News.
"He was my husband, and I still wish he was, and, you know, I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but there's nothing I can do. Lamar has to do things in order to change that aspect," she told them, "Yeah, if I had my way, I'd be married to Lamar in two seconds."
And she tried to get him to do those things - like marriage counseling. According to TMZ, Khloe tried for a year to patch things up. She scheduled numerous couples therapy sessions, which he missed almost every single one of, for no good reason. One time, she found out he skipped a sesh because he was at a pool party.
She also tried to help him with his alleged drug problem, but apparently didn't have success in that area either, with one source telling the site that Khloe recently said "he's too far gone."
We give Khloe a lot of credit for trying so hard to work things out and while it will undoubtedly be difficult, she can at least go forward knowing she did everything she could to try to save the marriage.
