Believe it or not, the totally genius invention of the interchangeable heel has actually been around for a few years now. (We know, how did we not know about this before?) The fashion-meets-function footwear is produced by Parisian label Tanya Heath - and the design is totally blowing our minds.
Tanya Heath, the designer behind her namesake interchangeable shoe line, told the Huffington Post that she got her killer idea walking to and from her first job in Paris - like many city ladies, she'd often change from flats into heels once she got to her desk, or would even end up schlepping all the way to work in painful heels.
Eventually, she decided she'd had enough, and came up with a much simpler idea - luxury interchangeable heels every bit as chic as Louboutins or Manolos, without the pain.
Tanya's design allows wearers to opt for either a 1.5-inch heel for getting around, or a 3.5-inch heel to quickly add sophistication to an outfit. With the push of a button, the heels are easily slid and clicked into place - way simpler than carrying around flats or struggling in a pair of heels all day!
The only thing we can't figure out: How have these not become a closet staple yet? With the opening of Tanya's first stateside boutique in Los Angeles earlier this year, we're hoping they will be soon! After all, for fashionistas who do lots of walking but don't want to sacrifice their on-fleek footwear, these are definitely the ultimate must-have closet addition.
