It's been a sad week for animal lovers. Earlier this week, a beloved lion at the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe was illegally killed by an American hunter, causing #CecilTheLion to go viral. The story of Cecil the lion is certainly a depressing one - not to mention disheartening about the state of other endangered animals - but the group Kruger Sightings wants the world to know that there is still a reason to smile, and that reason is baby elephants.
Kruger Sightings shared this adorable video of a baby elephant chasing birds on YouTube, and if it makes you smile, that's great: because that was totally this group's intention. In the caption for the video, the group wrote:
Kruger Sightings definitely did not disappoint: who isn't a fan of baby animals? This elephant calf is having the time of her life chasing around these birds, and watching the video should instantly bring a smile back to your face. The video currently has over 3 million views, and hopefully that will encourage Kruger Sightings to keep posting these sweet videos.
With this week being so sad after the loss of a great animal, Cecil the lion, we thought we would cheer everyone up with a video that will make you cry of happiness, rather than sadness.
Check out the video below, and prepare to freak out over how cute this elephant is:
