Britney Spears is doing so well now, it's hard to even think that she's the same person who suffered a very public meltdown in 2007. When things really spiraled out of control, the pop star was put in the hospital on a psych hold and her father ended up filing for conservatorship, which stopped her downward spiral almost instantly.

Not only has she improved tremendously since the conservatorship was granted in January 2008, she's thriving in both her personal and professional lives. So, is the conservatorship going to be lifted? If it ain't broke, don't fix it...and that's exactly the position they're taking.

According to TMZ, the conservatorship could last a lifetime and that is fine by all parties involved. Unlike Amanda Bynes, who has an embattled relationship with her parents and was extremely upset when they tried to file for a conservatorship, Britney is very close with her father and they've managed to become a huge success story in demonstrating why this legal process exists.

Britney also also has "substantial day-to-day freedom" to make her own decisions, so it sounds like they've found the perfect balance. Financially, the conservatorship is doing extremely well, having raked in a reported $14 million last year alone.

Keep on keepin' on, BritBrit!
