Two unexpected people didn't make the cut for Jennifer Aniston's wedding, and it might crush your dream of thinking that the cast of Friends is as tight IRL as their sitcom counterparts were. While Courteney Cox was Jen's maid of honor at her wedding to Justin Theroux, it turns out that not every "friend" of Jen's made the guest list. According to Friends co-stars Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc weren't even invited to celebrate Jen's big day. Say what?!?
Obviously just because Chandler, Joey and Rachel were BFFs (and occasionally roommates) on their sitcom doesn't mean that the actors have to be as tight offscreen, but it's pretty surprising to think that they're so far removed from each other's lives that some of them are not even invited to one of the most important days of another's life. After all, this cast worked together for 10 years on one of the biggest sitcoms in television history - you think that would warrant an invite for the entire gang.
Of course, Friends did end a decade ago, so it's perfectly understandable that some of the Friends cast would have drifted apart over the years. Each one of these actors has done wildly different things since moving out of their fictional NYC apartments, so it's pretty impressive that even Courteney and Jen stayed as close as Monica and Rachel were. And it's not like there's any bad blood between the non-invited cast members and Jen: both Matt and Matthew wished her well and said that her and her new hubby were a "great couple."
Hey, at least we'll always have Netflix reruns, right?
