On Sunday evening, Britney Spears accepted the Style Icon Award at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards from Fifth Harmony, and she looked ah-mazing in a dangerously deep cut dress and blue and purple mermaid hair. While we would've totally freaked out if BritBrit broke out into an impromptu version of some "... Baby One More Time" throwback choreo, her brief appearance onstage certainly didn't disappoint.
Clearly excited to be acknowledged for her constantly on fleek fashions, Britney delivered an inspiring message to her teen fans while graciously accepting her surfboard trophy.
"To all the teens watching," she said, "be fearless in your choices and don't be afraid to be yourself."
We totally love how Britney took time out of her big moment to acknowledge and encourage her fans. Coming from a pop star who's been the epitome of fearless throughout her career, teens should definitely take Britney at her word. Undoubtedly, the 33-year-old singer has experienced some major obstacles during her time in the spotlight. But it's evident that she's made one hell of a comeback, despite the fact that the 2008 conservatorship granted to Britney's father may last for the rest of her life.
In the meantime, we're just glad to see Britney back on top and totally killin' it. In the words of Teen Choice Awards host Gina Rodriguez, "You better work, girl."
