Nothing really shocks us anymore when it comes to beauty tricks and hacks to achieve a desirable look. Women and girls all around the world are going through absurd measures to get thicker brows, longer hair and fuller lips - remember the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge? #FAIL.
Permanent beauty tattoos are no new trend. Women have been getting faux eyebrows and beauty marks with this method for years now. With the popularity and emphasis on big and fuller lips, there has been a recent surge in the number of women opting for permanent tattooed lip liner to get the Kim Kardashian lips of their dreams.
All eyes were glued to this growing trend this past month when a beauty editor for Cosmopolitan Australia showed off her freshly tattooed lips on Instagram. Many praised her transformation, while others scoffed at the extreme measures she took to enhance her lips.
Seeing her obvious yet subtle transformation is tempting at first. Her lips look significantly larger, but they also look natural - a trait that can go missing with lip fillers and injections. Not to mention, a permanent lip tattoo will last for a whopping eight to 10 years.

The not so tempting aspect of this growing trend, however, is the price tag. A tattoo like hers could cost you anywhere from $1,200 to $1,500 with touch-ups costing $350 a pop. And well, what if your tattoo looks less than perfect? It's permanent! Seems a bit risky for a set of fuller lips right?
What are your thoughts on the quickly growing trend? Are you interested in lip tattoos?
