The four-tiered white cake looks like a very standard wedding cake at first glance...But behind the standard white fondant design is this amazingness.
How did they even do that?! Why didn't we think of that? Why isn't EVERY wedding cake that awesome? We have so many questions!
The designer shared the pic on her Facebook page joking, "This was one of the reasons I didn't sleep much last week, but I couldn't complain as I loved every minute I spent making it!"
She says the bride wanted the "vintage look with the elegant flowers," and the groom wanted the Marvel superheroes (except for Batman, apparently) in the back. Mission accomplished! And what a delicious way to display that marriage is all about compromise.
"I loved every minute making this cake, as I knew it would be something that people would be surprised at and appeal to all the Marvel fans!" the designer, Julia Baker, told The Huffington Post. She spent a total of 40 hours on the cake - 12 hours to make the sugar flowers and 28 building and baking it.
The bride commented on the photo and added that it tasted delicious...which is the icing on the cake...literally!
