4 Steps to Transform You Into a Workout Warrior
Luckily, we're not doing that today! We'll do that later though. I've come up with a few tips and tricks that have helped me keep that morning workout motivation.
1. Set Out Your Workout Gear the Night Before
I used to be so lazy that I wouldn't set out any clothes the night before - no matter where I was going the next day - but it honestly saves so much time! When you put together your outfit the night before, you'll be able to actually take your time to look for the things you'll need. You should also prep your gym bag with the basic necessities, such as a deodorant, towel, water bottle, protein bar and a charged phone. This way, when you get up in the morning, you won't go through the frustration of looking for everything you need at the last minute. All you'll have to do is get ready, grab and go!
2. Create Your Own Music Playlist
Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan of Spotify's pre-set workout playlists, but sometimes a song that doesn't energize me will come on, and I'll have to stop my workout to change it. Once I stop my workout, I don't really feel like I have that same drive to continue. That's why I highly recommend creating your own music playlist the night before with specific songs you know will have you doing the whip and the nae nae as you exercise.
3. Download Fitness Apps
There are SOOO many fitness apps out there, and I'm always coming across ones that I love. This week, it's PumpUp, which is basically like an Instagram for those into fitness. On days that I'm feeling a bit sluggish, I'll just go on PumpUp, and I kid you not, I will get motivated within seconds after seeing the cardio that someone has logged in or the cool workouts they've been doing. It's even more fun when you get to log in your own workout because you'll get to keep track of your amazing progress.
4. Have a Workout Buddy
Yes, it's great to be in your own zone while you're working out, but it's also not a bad thing to have fun while you're sweating them bullets. I love working out with friends because not only do we motivate each other, but we also get to bond as well. Another perk: You get to have someone who you trust to spot you.
The next time you're planning to work out, try these tips and tricks, and let me know if they worked for you. Since we're in this together, I'd love to hear about what you all do to keep yourself motivated to exercise!
