PinkPink is the definition of kicka**. She's different from other artists and does things her way, rather than being managed by people based on what they think her fans might want to see and hear. Her song "Stupid Girls" talks about her not wanting to fit in, and how she'd much rather be an outcast with ambition. Pink has other songs that mention strong and successful women who prefer working hard rather than using their good looks to climb to the top. It's no wonder she was Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2013!
BeyoncéYou know we have to bow down to our queen! YAAAAAS SLAY!! Beyonce is the perfect modern day example of a woman who can do it all and run the world. She's driven, talented, passionate and focused. You can tell she's pushed herself to her extreme limits to conquer the odds and continues to do so. Not only does she make her fans happy, but her family as well. She's a dedicated mother and wife who's had a decade-long string of successful solo hits and albums. Bey's her own Bo$$ B**ch and wakes up flawless. How can you not admire her?
Now there's only one person who's inspired us to shake off all the haters this year, and that's been Ms. Swift! Taylor is inspiring as it gets. She's faced many critics throughout her years of being in the entertainment business, but she's never let them come in the way of changing her style in the types of songs she's known for writing.
She's never been photographed coming out of nightclubs drunk or high. Instead, she's photographed surprising her fans in hospitals, at their bridal showers and even at their homes! She's constantly giving back and continues to hold her title as Santa Swift for being so generous and sending her fans gifts, which have ranged from money to pay back loans to clothes from Barney's! I think it's time we all just become part of the squad. What do you say, Tay?
For artists like Lorde, there's a huge pressure to look intact and perfect all the time. One of the many things we love about Lorde is that she knows she'll never be royal (pun intended). The young pop-rock singer makes sure that her fans don't feel those same pressures, and she's very vocal about promoting a positive body image. She once tweeted two photos of herself, one that went through Photoshop and the other without, to show that imperfections don't make us any less beautiful.
Lorde has her own style and isn't afraid to express herself the way she wants to. You're just awesome, Lorde, and you should totally let me borrow your entire lipstick collection!
i find this curious - two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. remember flaws are ok :-) pic.twitter.com/PuRhxt2u2O— Lorde (@lordemusic) March 31, 2014
