Nick Carter Will Compete on 'Dancing With the Stars' Season 21

A popular boy band member is about to show us if he can still make fans swoon with those classic boy band dance moves.

As a member of the Backstreet Boys, we already know Nick Carter has absolutely killed it on plenty of dance floors, especially when the group ruled the charts in the late '90s and early 2000s with hit songs like "Quit Playin' Games (With My Heart)," "I Want it That Way" and "Larger Than Life." But here's the real question: How will Nick fare as a Dancing With The Stars contestant?

According to E! Online, Nick joined DTWS as a competitor on the show's 21st season, which premieres Monday, Sept. 14 on ABC. Hopefully his smooth moves can hold up against the rest of the cast. So far, the official members include Bindi Irwin, Triple Crown winner Victor Espinoza and Vine star Hayes Grier. Apparently, the 35-year-old performer is already pretty confident about his chances at taking home his year's mirror ball trophy. OK, so maybe that tweet wasn't Nick's way of assuring us that he already has the trophy in the bag, although the thought of a boy bander performing well on DWTS isn't exactly a stretch. Nick's younger brother Aaron teamed up with Karina Smirnoff for the show's ninth season, and former 98 Degrees member Drew Lachey actually won DWTS Season 2.

We're not saying that the show's previous boy band titleholder and Nick's dancing background make him a shoo-in to become the next champ of DWTS, but we're totally not ruling it out.
