The Pretty Little Liars star will join Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis, among other stars, for Mother's Day, according to Deadline. The romantic comedy is from the same Garry Marshall franchise that includes Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve.
Shay's role in the film will be a far cry from her onscreen high school days in Rosewood, though. She will play Henry (Timothy Olyphant)'s much younger, new "bouncy, beautiful wife" named Tina, who wants nothing more than to be the perfect stepmom to Henry and Sandy (Jennifer Aniston)'s children."
After news hit the web, the 28-year-old actress couldn't help but share her excitement about the part, posting the news on Instagram with a snapshot of Deadline's story. "Never let life impede on your ability to manifest your dreams" #isthisreallife," she captioned it. So exciting.
Along with Shay, the Longest Ride star Britt Robertson will also appear in the film as Kristin, "a slightly neurotic new mother to a 1-year-old girl."
The film is scheduled to hit theaters April 29. We can't wait to see it.
