Earlier this month, Billboard reported that producer and one-half of duo Gnarls Barkley, Danger Mouse, is working on Adele's upcoming record. The music site also recently named Max Martin, songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr. and OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder as contributors to the album.
Throughout the past four years, Adele's first two albums 19 and 21 have stood the test of time and served their purpose of providing an emotional fix, but that's not to say that this new Adele music won't fill a huge void that's been missing on our soulful ballad playlist.
The singer and members of her camp have yet to comment on the reported release date or the type of sound fans can expect with the upcoming album (which we hope is really coming soon). Perhaps we'll be treated to a touching ballad inspired by the singer's son Angelo, who she shares with boyfriend Simon Konecki. Maybe she'll have a snappy lyrical comeback à la "Rolling in the Deep" to address the million-dollar lawsuit she won against the paparazzi.
Regardless of Adele's choice of song topics, we're already confident that her third album will be absolute fiyah.
