It seems that every day there's a new amazing proposal story floating around the internet. People get really creative when it comes to popping the question, so creative that I'm sort of surprised that the world hasn't run out of proposal ideas yet. (Heck, writing the question out in skywriting isn't even considered creative any more!) Luckily for this magician, his special set of skills allowed his proposal to his girlfriend to be downright epic. This couple's proposal story might be the most magical one you've seen yet, because it literally involved magic.
Okay, so we're not talking about a Harry Potter level of magic here, but we are talking about a seriously cool illusion. Magician Neil Henry decided that he was going to pop the question to his girlfriend Charlie by bringing her on stage for his performance at the place where they first met - the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As his "assistant," Charlie watched as Neil swallowed some alphabet soup and a piece of string - which is when the real craziness began.
Shortly after swallowing the soup and the string, Neil reached into his mouth and slowly pulled out a string of letters. Charlie read each one of them out loud - M, A, and R - only to realize by the third letter that she was being proposed to and freak out. "Having you in my life is real magic," Neil said as he got down on one knee. "And I never want that magic to end."
Obviously, she said yes. Watch the entire video below, and prepare to feel all the feels. Love is magic, ya'll.
