So, we have to admit, we were a little confused when we found out she was applying for her new golf membership using her former name, Bruce. In this new sneak peek of this Sunday's I Am Cait, released by E! News, Caitlyn is filling out her application when her assistant sees that she's written 'Bruce Jenner' in the name section.
The application is for a new portion of Sherwood Country Club, which Caitlyn has belonged to for many years, and even existing members have to apply to belong to the new portion that they're building. "I don't understand why you're putting 'Bruce' down, as opposed to Caitlyn," Ronda says. Caitlyn says that her membership at the club is under 'Bruce' and she just doesn't want to worry about it right now.
Ronda is still baffled by the whole thing, asking if she's going to walk in wearing her hoodie. "Probably," Caitlyn says. "And then once I get out on the course, I'll take that off."
She goes on to explain why she made the decision to put Bruce on there, saying. "Let's just put 'Bruce' down and it's fine...Cause then I don't have to worry about locker rooms and all that crap right now, which I don't want to worry about. I'll worry about the locker rooms later on down the line."
After Caitlyn announced her transition, there was some question as to whether or not she would continue to enjoy the same privileges at the club that Bruce did, being as there is a special lounge area just for men. There were then reports of discord between Caitlyn and the club, which the club said were completely false. In a statement to CBS Los Angeles, a rep for the club said, "Caitlyn Jenner will continue to be a valued member of Sherwood Country Club, enjoying all it has to offer its members."
The club is currently owned for renovations and won't be re-opening until December.
