Why Do These New York Fashion Week Models Look so Tired?

The fashion industry is infamous for finding #Inspo in the craziest places. For instance, you think that models would be big on getting their beauty sleep during #NYFW so they look extra fresh and rested on the runway. But this year, the makeup artist at Ryan Roche's SS16 fashion show had other plans - she gave each of the models almost tired, red eyes against a pared-down beauty look.

So wait. Are our often sleep-deprived nights now en vogue?!

Not exactly. Romy Soleimani, makeup artist and Beauty.com beauty director at large, incorporated the look as part of a show inspired by off-duty ballerinas between performances.
Ryan Roche eye look"The eyes are almost like sore red eyes," Romy says. "You know how eyes have that - especially when you're tired like me - that kind of reddish, plummy dark skin, so it's that on the upper and lower lash line."

She paired it with a '90s minimalist look: "raw, glossy skin" and "a little bit of brow, but nothing crazy."

We have to say, Romy's "red eyes" are ~ a lot ~ prettier than ours when we roll out of bed after five hours of sleep. #TheStruggle

Here's her secret formula for the pretty red hue: bareMinerals bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer in a dark shade ($20, Beauty.com), bareMinerals Liner Shadow in Onyx ($14, Beauty.com), bareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm in Rose Passion, ($16, Beauty.com) and bareMinerals Pop of Passion Blush Balm in Natural Passion ($22, Beauty.com), blended and applied to lids and under lower lash line with a flat brush.

We admit, this might be a tough one to pull off IRL. Will you give it a spin, or stick to your naturally sleepy lids and lots of coffee?
