Why Wasn't Caitlyn Jenner's Family at Her Renaming Ceremony?

On the season finale of I Am Cait, Caitlyn Jenner had a beautiful ceremony in her backyard where she celebrated her name change. Her friends were there, Boy George was there, her assistant and hairdresser were there, but not a single member of her family was in attendance.

While he famous fam hasn't appeared on the show very much, we would have definitely thought that they would be there for such an important event.

We couldn't help but wonder if it had something to do with the conversation she had with ex-wife Kris Jenner earlier in the episode when Cait revealed how hurt she was that Kris hadn't invited her to Kylie Jenner's graduation party.

Turns out, it was just a scheduling issue. "The naming ceremony was intended for Caitlyn and her new transgender family," a source told Hollywood Life exclusively. "It was just too complicated picking a date that would be convenient for all of the kids, so it made more sense, camera wise, to have none of them there."

So, she took more of an all or nothing approach so that it didn't appear that she was playing favorites in terms of scheduling. "Everyone has schedules that are all over the place that it never would have worked to get everyone together at the right time," a second source told the site, adding that, "It wasn't a diss, it just was better to have none of the family there instead of some so nobody was upset from being omitted in the celebration."
