Cady Groves Wants You to Know That Wasn't Her Hoo-Ha

Cady Groves knows how to have fun. We sat down with the pint-sized singer (she's 5-foot-1) to chat a little bit about her new music and a lot about things you really want to know.

CAMBIO: Tell us about your new music!
CADY GROVES: I just finished my new EP, and I've already released "Crying Game," which is more of a slower, sort of sad autobiography and..."Dreams." I have a video for that, too, which is super fun. This EP has six songs on it, so I really put a lot of effort into making it count... Hopefully everyone can hear "Dreams" before they see me on tour and can really sing along with me because it's a little catchy tune! It's more happy-go-lucky than "Crying Game." Girls have, like, 75 people that they actually are, and I only got to show six of me on this EP.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?
It would be to tell when somebody is not telling the truth. I believe everything people say to me; it's the Midwest in me. I want to believe everyone is a good person, so my feelings get so hurt. My mom's always said, "You've always been the one that I had that felt everything so deeply," because I'm the youngest of seven kids! So I hate it that I'm so emo, but I am. It's helped me write all of my songs, so I can't curse it too much. But I wish I could tell when someone was lying to me, so I could just be like, "bye."

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sushi. I'm obsessed with sushi. Five years ago, I would've said chips and salsa, but I'm a little over it. I've had all the chips, all the salsas.

If you could collaborate with one person, dead or alive, who would it be?
Alanis Morissette. If I could even just use her Kleenex or something, I'm like obsessed with her and I'm not afraid to admit it! She is one of the greatest female writers, and just all together writers, of our generation. She's so good, and she created such a legacy with one album, that she could literally not do anything ever again and still be queen.

If you could travel to one place, where would it be?
You know what's crazy is, I met someone from Thailand, and he was like, "You have to come out to Thailand!" And I was like, "I've never been out of the U.S." and everyone just kind of stopped and looked at me, and then I realized it's kind of super embarrassing. I just want to go anywhere but here. My passport is ready, my picture is terrible, but I'm ready to go!

Who is your biggest crush?
John Stamos. I loved him on Full House; the first time I ever cried while watching TV is the episode where he moves out and him and Michelle cry. That was the moment I fell in love with him, and since then, the love hasn't really stopped. One time on Twitter, he called me "racy," so it's like my claim to fame.

What is your most embarrassing moment of all time?
I posted a photo of me sitting up in a tree, and I was wearing white shorts and black boy short underwear underneath. Big mistake, because everyone thought it was my hoo-ha! They were like, "We can totally see up your crotch!" I had to take the photo down after five minutes, and everyone still thinks they saw my crotch, but they didn't!
