If you're like a ton of us out there, your iPhone might as well be another limb - and when you notice something is different with it, you totally freak out. Recently tons of loyal iPhone users noticed that there was something just a tad off about their beloved smartphone - but not everyone could articulate what it actually was. If you picked up on that, it's not in your head: the iPhone's latest change pretty much changes everything you do on your phone.
So what is this "major change?" It's actually a super simple one: Apple has officially updated the iPhone's font. iPhone users who upgraded their software to iOS 9 may have noticed a change in their iPhone's text, which is now in a font called "San Francisco." Apple Watch users are already familiar with the San Francisco font, and now the modern iPhoner will get to experience it, too. Here's what it looks like:
This new iPhone update is too weird for me...... Why is everything a different font???— Annabelle ♉️ (@AnnabelleBots) September 21, 2015
I hate the font on the new iPhone update omg— brian hella (@emmaydg_) September 21, 2015
Something tells me that this "fontgate" will die down after everyone gets used to staring at texts written in San Francisco. Until then, haters gonna hate - and wish they were still using Neue Helvetica.
This new font from the iPhone update is gross and just different enough to bother me— Tori (@toriggle) September 21, 2015
