If you're the type of girl who is obsessed with that elusive French girl look but don't exactly have the budget of fashion's Parisian it girls, this is about to be your favorite fall ever. Not only is H&M dropping its insanely anticipated Balmain collab, but Carine Roitfeld, basically France's Anna Wintour, will be releasing her collaboration with Uniqlo. Tres chic!
Fashionistas have known about the collection since it was announced this past spring, but there's finally an end to the waiting in sight: Uniqlo has officially announced that the collab will hit stores October 29. You'll be able to buy it at Uniqlo's flagship stores, online and in select other Uniqlo stores around the world.
Even better? The Fashion Spot just posted the first two images from the collection's ad campaign - and they're every bit as fabulous as we imagined. The campaign was shot by Steven Meisel and features model Lexi Boling, who nails Carine's effortless French girl look to a T with perfectly done-yet-undone hair and an on-fleek smoky eye. (Seriously, the resemblance is unreal!)
The only downside is that it's looking like the clothes will run a little pricer than Uniqlo's usual offerings. The first images released from the ad campaign show the to-die-for leopard coat as running around $169, the camisole dress $79 and a cashmere sweater as being $101 at current exchange. While it's a little more than we'd normally spend on our clothes, the price might be worth it since many of the pieces are classic looks we'll wear for several seasons - and Uniqlo is known for having pieces that generally hold up better than most fast fashion brands.
October 29 needs to hurry up and get here ASAP! Meanwhile, if you need us, we'll be stalking Uniqlo's website waiting for more news about Carine's collab!
