Kendall Jenner's 'Rock the Vote' Video Has a Very Important Message

It's crazy to think that in a country where we have women running for President, there was actually a time in our own history where women didn't even have the right to vote. Definitely one of the less proud moments in American history, BUT we are extremely proud of the incredible women that fought to earn that right for us, because it wasn't easy - at all.

In this Independent Journal x Rock the Vote video, Kendall Jenner gives an important history lesson to those who don't know - or have forgotten just how hard these amazing women had to fight to earn this right for us. "Every day, we vote. We're able to express our opinions online with links and hashtags," she explains. "But when it comes to the right to vote, it always hasn't been that easy, especially for women."

"Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton started the National Women's Suffrage Association in 1869," she continues. "Suffragettes took the fight nationwide, starting state-by-state campaigns pushing for women's rights to vote."

It's sad to think that some people take for granted something that women had to fight so hard to get. No matter who you plan to vote for when election time comes, get yourself registered so you can make our sisters from American history proud when you get out there and rock the vote!
