The Global Citizen Festival that took place in New York City's Central Park on Saturday, Aug. 26, was definitely the place to be. The annual event featured superstar performances galore, including sets by Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Beyonce and more. After Queen Bey slayed the stage, she introduced Michelle Obama to the crowd. Once the first lady made her entrance, Beyoncé went from Sasha Fierce to total fangirl in one fell swoop. She literally ran across the stage (wearing a huge grin and high heels) to embrace the FLOTUS.

The "Feelin' Myself" singer and the Michelle's special moment was so warm and full of love and support that Sasha and Malia could totally claim Bey as an honorary big sister.

"I am honored to follow a woman whom I admire and adore, someone who believes as passionately as I do, the boundless promise of girls worldwide," the FLOTUS said about the singer.

The Global Citizen Festival is a free event that aims to help the United Nations with its goal of ending extreme poverty all over the globe by 2030. During her appearance, Michelle promoted her social media campaign "#62milliongirls," which helps to raise awareness about all the girls around the globe who are unable to attend school due to economic or social issues.
