According to Racked, the new line is called AE x Café and somehow, the folks at AE are using recycled coffee grounds to make jeans that are a little bit more eco-friendly.
The coffee's deodorizing powers are said to keep your jeans fresh for a few extra wears, which none of us are complaining about, as well as offer protection from the sun's UV rays (who knew??). The denim has also been treated so that they don't actually smell like coffee.
AE x Café is set to release online and in stores on October 15, priced between $50 to $55. If you want bae to get in on the coffee pants too, there will be a line for men too, called Denim Flex Café.
It's cool to see another retailer taking notice of how the apparel market affects the environment and making moves to reverse it. And, if anything, telling people there's coffee in your jeans is a great way to slide in the DMs like...
