Florence Welch just proved she's as badass as we always thought. She recently covered Justin Bieber's hit song "Where Are U Now?" and killed it.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, Florence and the Machine decided to take a break from performing several hit tracks off of their latest album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, to cover one of most popular songs of the summer. They decided to sing Bieber's track.

Florence didn't copy Bieber's style the whole way through the song. It actually sounds like an entirely different tune complete with some of the best live vocals we've heard from her in a while. Florence and the Machine's melancholy rendition is a far darker, moodier "Where Are Ü Now" than we're used to hearing.

The singer isn't a stranger when it comes to the pop star world. She recently opened up about her friendship with Taylor Swift. There's even a mashup of their songs "Shake It Off" and "Shake It Out".

T-Swift thinks nothing but awesomeness of Florence, too. "She's the most fun person to dance with at a party, but then five minutes later you find yourself sitting on the stairs with her having an in-depth conversation about love and heartbreak."

Listen to Florence and the Machine's Bieber "Where Are U Now?" cover, below.
