At one point or another in their career, singers are bound to encounter those dreaded lip syncing accusations and no matter how much they try to defend themselves, critics will believe what they want. Unfortunately, Ellie Goulding recently found herself on the receiving end of those exact claims after she performed at an Australian Football League pre-game show on Saturday.

Apparently, when Ellie wrapped up "Love Me Like You Do," her vocals continued to blare from the speakers although she clearly wasn't singing into the microphone.

Who knows if it was an innocent technical glitch or an intentional attempt at fooling the crowd? Either way, Ellie is so over all the lip syncing slander she's received and took to Twitter to respond to the outrage: But later, the singer pulled a classic tweet-and-delete move when she dragged her sound guy into the mix. "Incidentally the sound guy who pressed playback twice and triggered both band tracks simultaneously is nowhere to be seen... 😂," Ellie wrote on Twitter.

Yikes. Well, at least the bulk of Ellie's supporters don't seem to be buying into the lip syncing scandal. If she can move past all of the supposed Niall Horan and Ed Sheeran relationship dramz that's plagued her since the release of "Don't," then she's probably not all that concerned by a minor onstage snafu.
