The last thing anyone wants when their parents separate is to get stuck in between the two of them. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened to Kylie Jenner when her parents separated and her mom Kris Jenner chose not to invite Caitlyn Jenner.

During a tense conversation on I Am Cait, Caitlyn confronted Kris about not inviting her and Kris' reasoning was that when couples divorce, they don't necessarily do family functions together anymore.

Still, that must have been tough for Kylie, especially because the split was still fairly new. In a new blog post on her website, the 18-year-old opened up about her feelings about the situation and, as usual, she was extremely mature about the whole thing.

"Some people made a big deal about the fact that my dad wasn't included in that graduation party my mom threw for Kendall and I, and I did miss Caitlyn being there," she explained. "It's understandable why she wasn't [there] and I respected my mom's decision about it."

We understand Kris' reasoning, but it still made us feel sad for Cait, because Cait was such a big part of what lead up to this moment - driving carpools, going to games and doing all of the school-related stuff. It's a tough call, but ultimately, Kris did what felt right to her in that moment.

Fortunately, for Kylie's family birthday celebration, Kris and Cait were both included and it looks like they got along pretty well.
