Pumpkin spice lattes may have the reputation of being as basic as yoga pants and Ugg boots, but if you've ever tried one you know that there's no reason to give up the delicious fall taste just because of its obnoxious rep. But while pumpkin spice tastes great in your coffee, this new treat just might be too much: a pumpkin spiced fried chicken donut sandwich exists, and only the most devout PSL fans should try this one.
According to The Los Angeles Times, this cray sandwich is available at a joint called Chomp in Santa Monica, Calif. The restaurant - which just so happens to serve uber healthy juices right next to this calorie bomb - wanted to show off their delish pumpkin spiced aoli, and created the sandwich to do so. The deconstructed sandwich looks like this: two glazed donuts, fried chicken breast, pumpkin spice aoli, arugula, tomato, and provolone cheese. It's a lot of food.
I'm not totally sure how I feel about this mix of cheese, pumpkin spice, and donuts - it maaaaay just be overkill. Maybe Chomp is secretly selling this sandwich to encourage people to buy their juice cleanses: solid foods may be challenging after chowing down on one of these trendy sandwiches.
