While it will probably be a while before we see her head to the altar (she just took her relationship public with her boyfriend Austin Stowell), Nina did open up when asked when she wants to settle down. "I believe in the timing of my life," she told Women's Wear Daily, after gushing over BFF Julianne Hough's engagement to Brooks Laich. "I'm so happy for Julianne. I don't think she could be with anyone more perfect than Brooks, but she wasn't on a show for six years. I feel like I'm playing catch-up on basic life things that I didn't get to do working so much."
In the midst of catching up on her own personal life, Nina is also having a blast trying out other acting projects now that she's off of TVD, and she's fine with being picky with the roles she takes on. After wrapping up her new flick Final Girls, Nina said, "I want to do something dark and gritty. I want to work with directors that I admire and that will make me better and actors that will challenge me and scare the sh*t out of me."
After leaving TVD, Nina moved from Atlanta to Los Angeles, is decorating her new home and enjoying her newfound sense of freedom after dealing with a strict TV shooting schedule for the past six years. And while she's in this season of change, Nina is also open to trying a new look. In her shoot with WWD, she rocks fierce blunt bangs that gave her the inspiration to try something new (and us total hair envy). "I didn't know I could pull that off, but now I do," she said. "Who knows? I might cut my hair."
There's no do doubt Nina looks stunning with long locks, but there's also no denying she would slay a blunt bob with those hot bangs. We say go for it.
